Shut up

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Good editing can make a decent reviewer totally engaging, and a great reviewer can make even abysmal editing tolerable, but if you don't at least have one of those I'm out. I'll watch any style of reviewing, though, whether it's just manic opinion pieces or a more technical/culturally aware look at something. It all comes down to whether or not they're entertaining for 10 minutes.

My current favorites are JonTron (example of really fun editing), Cinema Snob (someone generally funny enough that the boring editing doesn't matter), Oancitizen, Obscurus Lupa, Rap Critic, Todd in the Shadows, and just about anything from RedLetterMedia.

Least favorite might have to be Nostalgia Critic right now, if only because I used to enjoy most of his stuff, but now that he has hired actors and frustratingly long skits worked into every single review, I can't sit through them anymore, or I have to sit there and skip around to get past the skits and back to the actual review. Otherwise if I don't like something right away I tend to give up on it and not look back, so I don't have much in the way of reviewers that actively annoy me.
