Having tried a bidet, I really want one but our tiny bathroom won't fit one that isn't on the pot and the ones that DO go on the pot my cat destroys. Send help.

sorry to hear that, anon ): but see, this is a good way to convince your country needs bidets: cats love them. just google cats + bidets.

I don't wash my towels after I show. Don't see the point when I am wiping off water from my clean body.

I have never understood this either. I'd be pretty worried if my towels ended up dirty after I'd just showered.

because even if you hang them properly, damp towels tend to accumulate mildew. it's not worth it to wash them after every shower, though.

damp towels accumulate mildew, and even though you're clean, showering softens up tons of dead skin that comes off when you rub with a towel. so you end up with a moldy rotting skin-covered towel if you don't wash it for a long time.

i never got people who use a fresh towel every time, washing once a week is fine for me, but come on, do you not notice that it starts to stink after a while

it definitely smells like mildew after a certain amount of time, especially if you keep the towels in the bathroom (which most people do) and your bathroom is poorly ventilated and remains steamy long after you're done showering

i don't use soap in the shower, just warm water and a washcloth. i'll suds up to shave and wash my hands and face, but otherwise? nope! no soap for me.

i don't tell people because they always get all OMG HOW DO YOU NOT STINK? and move away as if i suddenly do, even though i don't. i don't wear perfume, cologne, or body spray either, just a normal amount of deodorant. ime, soap just isn't necessary.

arms and legs i get because it's not like they normally get gross unless you've been doing something messy but really

THEY NEED SOAP

soap is not a necessity and more likely it causes irritation and leaves a film over the skin. you can get clean by just exfoliating yourself. scrub the dead skin (and dirt) off and you're fine. just like your hair can be healthy without washing it with chemical shampoos and conditioners. it's easier, yes, and sure, it makes you smell nice, but it's an additive, not a necessity.

no. you don't technically need any product in your hair and i would never advise putting baking soda in it. egg whites possibly as a conditioner if you don't want to use anything chemical. your body doesn't need additives. your hair has oils in it that get stripped by shampoo/conditioner, which is why it gets so greasy if you go a day or so without washing it; it's overcompensating for being stripped and trying to regulate. if you let yourself get used to not using shampoo/conditioner, your hair oil regulates and your hair can look just fine without anything in it.
