Shut up

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

It doesn't update extremely frequently, but I highly recommend Dead Winter.

It's a zombie apocalypse and has all of the stuff you'd expect out of zombie apocalypses. Zombies eating people, conflicts between the survivors, casual stuff. But it's also got a few quirks about it, especially in it's set of main characters, that I feel to pointing out.

Firstly is a neat little tic it has of the only color ever being used in the series being red. Whether it's the main character's bandanna or another of the main four's sunglasses, red is the only colored object in the webcomic. (Save for the color pages, where everything is colored.) Like most webcomics, the quality starts off really slow but starts to pick up and stays steady after the first few chapters. Now, on to the characters themselves...

The main character is Elizabeth Rose Cooper, usually shortened to the nickname of Lizzie. Born in London, England, Elizabeth Rose Cooper is described thusly: poet, overworked waitress, pacifist, and wife-to-be. Lizzie cares deeply about the environment- and has done her part to help save it in a retrospectively odd manner, she enjoys midnight showers, and she wuvs her Mr. Cuddles!

Next is Lou Panzetti. Born in Brooklyn, New York and crude, gassy and loud, Lou the Plumber is hardly one for social grace. Beneath his repulsive and fart-laden exterior, however, lies a wealth of information. Lou is an amateur history buff , a big fan of Roman architecture and an adept handyman. He swings a mean wrench, too.

Next is Alice Vassilikos. Born in Albany, New York, Alice worked as a nurse in the hospital a minor character named Jack was delivered to, and was all ready to punch out and go home when the cops rolled up outside. She tries to wear a smile and lighten the mood by her patients' bedsides, but death is something she has a hard time dealing with. She's Lizzie's saving grace of sorts, spotting and snatching her from death's grip. Despite the unpleasant circumstances of their meeting, Liz and Alice have grown to become close friends in the day they've known one another.

And finally is the coolest character out of the bunch and my personal favorite, Black Monday Blues. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, little is known about the man called Black Monday Blues. What few things are certain can be counted on one hand: He's not a very well-liked man, he smokes too much, and he can't go ten words without swearing. Monday is also a fan of fancy sunglasses and Rudy Ray Moore films. Monday has a knack for improvisation, and despite his itchy trigger fingers and cold disposition, the plight of a helpless young girl has shown him to have some moral code directing his hands. This, however, doesn't keep people from saying he's got a permanent case of the mondays. Which he most certainly seems to have. He's also a hired killer and so fucking smooth. You'll find out in the first few chapters, don't worry.

I hope I was able to hook you because I love this webcomic and had a spaz attack when I saw two Lizzies pop up around here. I intend to try my hand one of these days at playing Monday but this is just about pitching webcomics to you and not RP so... yeah~ But really, you should check it out.
