Shut up

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

sits in the antisocial non-suckup corner with you

i think this more than anything is causing resentment within the game, the social characters have a way easier time of getting those rewards and seeing instant gratification than characters who are either reticent to engage or are employing a different strategy, or just plain not inclined to behave

granted that may be true in any game that social characters are easier to play, but here the balance seems so greatly skewed that way that anyone who doesn't fall into the category of "obnoxiously in everyone's face" is out of luck

i may leave the mods feedback about this because just typing this up i think i finally figured out what's left me so frustrated about cdc despite wanting to love it so damn much

glad im not the only one

it doesnt help that it already kinda feels to me like the mods are playing favorites

like i see them tag some threads/characters back far more frequently

idk i love the game and the npcs and everything but like you said, this is something that's really kinda frustrating if you play a character thats not overly social or submissive or simply doesnt care about sucking up to the instructors

who are they playing favorites with?

id rather not draw possibly negative attention to anyone, but ive seen some threads move forward faster and get more elaborate replies

while others have to wait much longer

among other things, but idk maybe thats just me being bitter

are some of them plot related? a lot of people tend to talk to the NPCs about mild topics. they might need to focus on particular conversations

+1

Not one of the mods here, but I know in games I've NPCed for in the past, I've prioritized plot threads over random chatter threads. That person digging into the structure of the setting needs answers quickly. Your thread asking about the NPC's favorite kind of cookie does not.
