So I kind of screwed the pooch in being active this past month because of a multitude of reasons and didn't think of taking a precautionary hiatus so now I don't think I can make AC on time. :c

With that said, what's the general consensus of people idling out and reapping in the next cycle? I looked around to see if there are any rules about that but I must have missed it.

please don't idle out. if you don't think you're going to make ac and you're unable to use your re-ed token for whatever reason, just drop and app in next round. there's no rules that i know of against that.

idling out on purpose is extremely rude and just causes more headaches for everyone. you could also try talking to the mods directly, i know they make exceptions and are usually pretty reasonable about this sort of thing.

if you haven't taken any strikes or only have one, you can still have your character go to re-ed for the month, anon.

that means a narrative post that'll give you the clear for the AC you missed, but you'd still have to make it for next month.

Just to make sure you know since you weren't aware of re-ed as an option - you do have to provide gen comments to qualify for re-ed, 1 thread of 10 or two threads of 5.

It looks like you're choosing re-ed anyway, but from http://arielmods.dreamwidth.org/758.html#ac2 - If your character was removed from the game after an AC failure you may not reclaim this character and you may not reapply for one full app round.

also, if your reasons are legit enough (family emergency, sickness, etc.) and not something like 'being lazy' or 'didn't feel like it', if you go to the mods they should let you off for the month

serious question: why would you even consider idling out instead of just dropping? it's a lot cleaner and more efficient for the mods if you just do it yourself. I just don't understand why you'd make the effort of asking here but not just make a drop comment somewhere.

what's your experience with the event so far? loving it? hating it? seen some interesting threads others put up?

tbh i forgot we had one. it didn't interest me at the time because the dream event already took care of the secret impulses bit, and i'm still playing out threads from that one

skipped it but some people seem to be having fun with it judging from my plurk list

Loving it! It's really changing things up for my character and her CR. Something this big hasn't happened since the storm event for her.
