i hate them

they think being trans is nothing but cutesy social label they can put or take off at will

i experienced dysphoria and intense self-loathing associated with it every day of my life since puberty until transition

i cannot wrap my mind around why anyone would WANT to be trans if they DIDN'T have dysphoria. it makes no sense in my mind why someone would fetishize this experience and want to have it. if i could have chosen to stop being trans, i would have, full stop

i wouldnt chosoe to stop being trans, but only because i feel as if it'd led me to be the person I am right now, and I'm pretty happy with myself now.

But yeah, the experience itself is not something that's necessarily appealing. People on tumblr have this sort of 'broken bird' fantasy for it, but it's much more like being a bird that wants to be a fish and so stuffs its head in water until it drowns.

i think what a lot of truscum and really a lot of people fail to grasp is that the dsm-5 is literally designed for the benefit of your psychiatrist . a lot of things in psychology are just made up lol . not that dysphoria isnt real, but to say that it is a prerequisite for transness is what yr greedy phony psychiatrist wants u to think

if there's no dysphoria there is literally no reason to think you're not your assigned gender

if this were how it worked wouldn't they leave the dysphoria out so they could make more money

as far as I know, dysphoria is still in the DSM

what was removed was "gender identity disorder", which doesn't and has never existed (ultimately, saying trans people have "gender identity disorder" is akin to saying gay people have "sexual identity disorder").

dysphoria is still psychiatrically considered a part of being trans
