Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

How do you guys catch up with characters when they're in multiple books simultaneously and you're catching up on tons of back issues?

For example, if Iron Man is in Iron Man, Captain America and The Avengers at the same time, do you read through Iron Man and then the Avengers, or do you keep a list open and read Iron Man #3, then The Avengers #47, then Captain America #75 (or whatever), then back to Iron Man?

It really depends. Sometimes it works better to read chronologically, because the stories interweave with each other. Sometimes the stories are completely separate, and switching between titles just breaks up the flow.

in most cases it's best to stick to the individual title, because they're usually doing their own thing. when there's a crossover that actually requires reading separate titles in a certain order (this is more common in x-men, batman, and superman than pretty much any other franchise, avengers never really got into that i can remember) then yeah, that happens. otherwise i wouldn't bother doing it chronologically.

Unless it's a crossover, I just read the series I'm reading and unless something important happened over there, I'll get to it whenever I get around to it.
