not at all. i realize that part of it was being screwed up by my parents and i used it as a crutch both irl and online. i got the help that i needed to deal with the things i went through.

i think that sort of thing usually goes hand-in-hand with wanky people or people who fall into the NEET category? i was in a situation where i was made to feel the only people i could depend on were the people who abused me both physically and mentally. i'm sorry if this bothered you and i probably should have put a trigger warning on it?

either way, i don't talk about this at all nor do i glorify it. i am proud of how i've developed as a person and the only reason i really even thought to mention of it is because someone asked. i think the real "success" stories of people changing in this hobby are people who do it quietly. a lot of the people i've seen that talk big all end up being kind of shitty backstabbing jerks. anyway, i'll stop talking and refrain from mentioning this again.

i hear you, anon. abuse breeds a vicious cycle where you learn coping skills to deal with abusive situations without learning coping skills for non-abusive situations. recognizing this pattern and learning to break away from it takes a lot of self-growth and self-awareness and i fully commend you for that. it's not an easy thing to do.
