I’m sorry. I fucked up. I overreacted and for that all of you – the players, the mods, and the interested – have suffered. My intentions were not ill, but the manner in which I carried them out was not ideal in the least. When I applied to be a mod, my preferences in tasks were plot-related; in retrospect, I shouldn’t have strayed far from that role. There were many areas that needed filling, so I filled what areas I could – not necessarily what areas I should.
This is the first I’m hearing of players being uncomfortable with me due to my conduct prior to this incident. If I’ve made you uncomfortable, then I apologize because that was not my intention. You were and still are free to bring your concerns to another mod.
I’ve poured a lot of time and effort into Save the Earth. I enjoy discussing how a plot may come to pass with players and I enjoy seeing how players and characters react to the meta plot and incorporate it into their actions. Save the Earth is a game where IC action will largely determine the main course of the game and it’s the first game I’ve played in where I felt this to be true.
Because of this, I would like to remain a mod here, but not as a Jack-of-All-Trades like we’ve been doing. I’d like to focus on plot and recruit more mods to fill other niches. As said prior, I have no intention of getting involved with mediating problems and the like anymore. I overreacted and made a huge mistake. I’d like the chance to grow from this mistake so that it isn’t a waste on anyone’s end.
