rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Not saying the mods aren't acting really fucking stupid, but I'm also not saying that anything in that little snippet is incorrect.

Because those are both things that are true.

one person has already admitted that they socked up and commented to the mod post, even though they're not even in the fucking game.

if you are talking about that thread on wankgate, that person was in the game at one point.

but they aren't anymore, so their interest in the long-term future of the game is not the same as active players. so they have no business commenting there. they can wank things up to their heart's content elsewhere, but leave the game comms for people in the game jfc

if a prospective player cares enough about the game to hit up a modpost concerning its wellbeing, considering everyone and their mother keeps talking about how the game might die before they even get in, they can be invested if they want to goddamn

I didn't post there, but I actually am/was a potential apper and I've been following the story to see what the fuck's going on here. I hope this isn't how the game normally acts when faced with a few setbacks or trolls.

It's naive to think there isn't a little shitstirring going on in that post and the anon threads, especially after the two-day mark when people started getting angry, but the vast majority of those posts are people bringing in their concerns or offering solutions. Don't discount half a game's worth of opinions because a couple bored anons decided to be pissants.

what's naive is posting a five paragraph essay of overly optimistic "solutions" and expecting any of the remaining mods to care about it

your playerbase is overinvested in what amounts to a sinking ship and it's pretty damn pathetic to watch how much abuse you're willing to take and how much faith you're putting in people who have proven themselves consistently worthless in the arena of modding

it's a goddamn rp game, let it go and move on instead of acting like a bunch of howling artists who just can't bear to see it end because MUH CR MUH PREMISE MUH SHITTY AU
