I can't wait for it to reach Season 2 and become dark, depressing and ridiculously complex.

idk man, something about the world is creeping me out already. it might not even hold out until season 2 to go full yugioh

It's probably the juxtaposition of the super-happy "Entertainment Duels" with the darker aspects of the show, much like how a bright colour appears brighter when placed around a dark background.

Something that piqued my interest was the fact that they have a command room specifically designed for monitoring duels and "summoning". I know duelling is Serious Business in the YGO verse but even that seems unnecessary. It makes me wonder if the "solid mass" added to the holograms is actually being pulled from another dimension (to preserve Conservation of Mass) and they have to carefully monitor things to make sure nothing else gets through.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeh not really. The Entertainment duels seem to have reach the level of actual sports entertainment and what not in this season.

I will say, if most duels become like the end of ep's 4 we will have a great season finally.

sorry but it is way too early in the series for this kind of inevitably vastly off the mark speculation. at least reign it in until episode ten.
