Oh beautiful, for spacious posts

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I think that Chapter 6's version is perfectly acceptable to use as a history model. It's implied in earlier discussions with the guy, and Ringabel himself never objects, despite by that point having regained his memories. He identifies with that version, and it's more likely he would have questioned it then not, given everything.

With canon points, that's up to you! And yeah, Ringabel has two things I didn't really mention: morality (even with his memory back, thanks to Braev), and he really disassociates with his former self to a big degree. His experiences as Ringabel supercede his experiences as Alternis, and in the period he's been Ringabel, he's personally grown and come to rely on the others around him! I'd say that in his journal, it's implied he helps them all, too. As Alternis, he interacted more with his version of Agnes, Tiz, and Edea, and that might have prompted some personal growth of his own. Basically, we're getting into headcanon with that, though! It's up to you how you wanna go about interpreting his history as we know it, but I'm glad what I said helped.

One last thing: how do you interpret his actions in the true ending? I am... very confused.

Basically, I'm left scratching my head. I doubt I'd grab him post-game to start with, but as I found the true ending much more satisfying, I'm really uncertain of what happened there.
