I don't have much to say, but first of all, for your own good, don't even consider DD as useful for anything beyond a canon point for Trucy. All she's there for are panty jokes. Literally.

One thing I've always found different in her from other assistants, except maybe Kay, is that Trucy is the "get shit done" type. She doesn't need a spirit suddenly possessing her to provide something that saves the case, she does it herself. "Omg this is bad, Polly needs help... HEEEELP I'M BEING KIDNAPPED BY THIS PUPPEEEET". Also, she's not beyond doing something small that isn't "entirely good/legal" to achieve a greater good, we're not talking about big things here but, you know, both the "fool everyone by faking my kidnapping" and giving Apollo a piece of forged evidence aren't extremely good things.

I admit my memories of Maya and Emma as assistants are foggy but I think they are more the "Lawful good" while Trucy and Kay would be "Neutral good" or "Chaotic good". Something like that? Not sure if this is of any help though.

Honestly Ema is the only assistant that would fall into the realms of lawful good (unless you also want to count Pearl as an assistant). Phoenix often would have to tell Maya not to do things that were illegal. Maya would think on the lines of what would help their client. Don't forget she was the first one to use an outburst in court to save their client, she did that in 1-4 for Edgeworth. Her and Trucy are cut from the same cloth.

And really, Ema is about as lawful good as Gumshoe is. She tries to follow the law, but she'll also look the other way if that means the difference between an innocent person going to jail or not and there is no lawful means of getting the evidence to prove the innocent person is innocent.
