rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Anon, if you've got everything in there that you need, submit it as is. But don't leave out anything relevant for the sake of brevity. The three things an app should be IMO are informative, concise and readable.

Does that include sample length though? Because 2700 words including the 3ps does sound alarmingly short.

yes? while it sounds short to you, that's still like a 5 page app. i'm not apping an oc.

but here, i went and checked the latest app i have written in word vs gdocs. without the 3ps, it's 2550 words. with the 3ps, it's 2950.

That's cool. Like I said, if you have everything, send it! Characters and canons are all different. The reason I said it sounded alarmingly short is that the mods cited 4k as a suggested length. OTOH, "write as much as you need and no more" is thrown about a lot but is actually true.

the mods suggested 4k as a soft limit, not a minimum suggestion, tho. and that was for OCs, versus fandom apps. suggesting they don't expect or need fandom apps to be that long.

You make a good point. Maybe I can get my app down to 3k...

I concur, shorter is better. It won't be so much of a thing later, but rn with the tons of reserves, anyone who's padding for the sake of it should be taken out and shot.

Don't get yourself slung out for vagueness and not knowing the character, but definitely don't be like "omg my app y so short /WORDS".
