rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Reread your app. Do you even want to reread it or does it feel like a chore? If it really feels like a chore, your app might be too long and you could stand to trim it down.

More important than the length is whether it's well-organized and not full of fluffy bullshit: are your personality and setting sections mostly related to each other or do you have pointless padding in either? Do your points flow into each other or does it sound like you're jumping all over the place? Having a friend read your app is a good idea (especially a canonblind friend) to check for consistency and useless bullshit. Make sure it's an honest friend.

Another point of reference I use is: if I don't canon review for a long time and reread my personality section, will it give me enough pointers that I feel like I can still gain a good basic grasp of my character from reading it? Or is it littered with many extraneous points or missing key points that I would've liked to have?

I'm not really an expert appwriter but I do think I write fairly solid apps overall. Don't write for length, write for coherence and self-reference down the road.
