The above anon speaks truth! Pick up one series and you'll have all you need. You can also watch the movies relevant to your series of choice (if you need to know which ones, I can help with that) to get more personality tips for the character you're interested in and leave it at that—nobody will really care if you don't include them as part of your character's history.

If it helps, I put in a reserve for a Cure and am working through the canon review for her right now. So if you did the same, you wouldn't be alone!

Yep! I've actually started most of them-- heartcatch, smile, fresh, and futari wa, and I'm up to date with hachapre, the only problem is that I haven't exactly *finished* any of them. Thanks for the advice though! I'm curious (cure-ious lmao) who you're apping?

Ah, yeah. I've had problems finishing the series that I didn't catch from the start while still on the air (everything pre-HeartCatch). I just idle out on the filler episodes. I can handle them while it's airing because I think 'well, it's just 20-ish minutes a week,' but if I'm watching back-to-back I can't help but wander off. (Which means I should definitely change my approach!)

I'll hopefully be apping in Miyuki/Cure Happy from Smile. I say "hopefully" because I've just gotten sick in the middle of my canon review and everything's ground to a halt... I really should have waited on reserving until AFTER I reviewed, but I got too excited.
