it's always kind of annoying when sarcastic characters are only assholes because "how do i friends!!!"

give more to him than just powers and social retardation, is my first advice.

I have been working on that. Really, his social retardation comes a lot from him not actually taking the time to actually figure out how to be like a normal, well-adjusted person. I was planning to have him seem a lot like that asshole know-it-all that no one liked in school because they were always trying to correct people. I don't plan on having him be loved.

that's a good step then. a lot of people play assholes because they figure the character will come across as cool and badass. it'd be nice to see the angle you're talking about, for a change.

have you filled out any character sheets? (writing sheets, not those for like D&D)
