Way to go, RPanons

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Try not to fall into the idea that more is better, especially in an application. It's good that you're thinking about making your information available for accountability, but a lot of that world-building type of stuff can into an info page or an expanded application to go into your journal. An app should generally be concise and to the point so that the mods can get through it quickly and have a solid idea of your portrayal without being fluffed up. My team has an admittedly bad habit of putting longer OC apps off until the canon apps we're familiar with are done because we know it's going to take a lot more time to process. We don't want to keep you waiting and you don't want to make processing more difficult, so try to stick to what's really important.

That doesn't mean you should write a barebones app, though. That just means you need to decide what are the most important things we need to know about your world? What are the defining characteristics of your character and how they behave around other people? What do the value in your world, or what are they fighting for? These are the kinds of things you should focus on, in any application but especially for an OC.

You'll have plenty of time to fully flesh out your creation in your journal and in gameplay. Start out with the basics and go from there!
