rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. I thought I'd let you anons know - both the original anon and I am working together on opening up the dressing room mentioned last post. No concrete opening date yet, but it will be a thing, for all your FF and other Square RPG fill!

Random question! If a game is produced by a different company but published by Squeenix, would it be allowed? I'm thinkin' of Nier in particular, though there's probably tons of other games that fall under the category.

~~I'll need to consult with co-mod~~, but I think it would be allowed. Otherwise some cool Square games like The World Ends With You (only half-developed by Square) or Bravely Default wouldn't be allowed, and that just doesn't make sense.

So, this is a tentative yes to Square-published games, as long as they fit into the RPG genre at least a little. (No Call of Duty here! [It was published by Square in Japan.])

What about games by Mistwalker, like Lost Odyssey? If you aren't familiar, Mistwalker was founded by some of the team involved in the old FF games so the Mistwalker games very much have a feel similar to old school FF games and they would definitely fit in nicely as well.

I think that should be fine as well! Though, for fringe cases like this, we will take them on a case-by-case basis. ^w^
