Unfunny wanky stereotypes

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I have a pet tarantula and reading all this spider-hate made me want to pet her! :(

But she's an OBT and if my hands went anywhere near me she would bite the shit out of me and then run up my arm and leap off into escape at a speed of 90 miles per hour.

and you probably just helped justify all the anons having histrionics over spiders with this post

so i'm not sure what you were trying to accomplish here at all

i have two baby red-rumps and i wish i could pet them too. i never will but pics and vids of holding tarans look so neat, sighs...

Yeah, it's pretty bad because it's so stressful for them on top of being potentially dangerous, but damned if I don't want to hold their fuzzy butts and let them crawl all over me.

i know right?? i found a pregnant orbweaver once that i let crawl over me for a while before setting her free, it was cute having her trying to attach draglines to me.

I've never seen an orb-weaver IRL. I don't think they're in my area which is a big shame because they are beautiful.

I get lots of cellar spiders though, and I deeply enjoy rescuing them from around my house and putting them out in the garage where there's a small colony around the ceiling and under the house.

spiders are so rad! i have a very small collection.

if you can catch grass spiders (they are very fast! one of the fastest families of spiders iirc) you can pet their fuzzy legs too. mine escaped a lot but i liked doing that too.
