wow. frozen is actually way cuter than i thought it'd be

is it really? a friend is trying to drag me to see it and i'm having trouble mustering up the requisite shits to give

i love disney movies in general, so if that's not your thing then you might not like it. but for some reason i just wasn't jazzed to see it like i was with other movies, yet i'm really liking it anyway. the songs are really cute imo.

It's cute! The characters and songs are cute, some of the escapades are funny, and there's a lot of emotional resonance focused on girl characters, which is really appealing for some people. The story doesn't cohere in the end and the writing is really terrible in places. Whether you enjoy it mostly comes down to whether the movie's (considerable) flaws aggravate you too much to enjoy the good stuff about it or not.

i wasn't expecting it to be as visually pretty as it was. i love what they did with the ice magic/snowscapes in general. i also liked the general character design, and so i thought the whole movie was pretty.

it's just a shame i thought the story fell flat in so many ways, because i was so prepared to love it on visuals alone.

yeah, it's super pretty! i seriously love how it looks. i'm still watching it as i type this so idk the whole story yet, but i'm willing to forgive a lot because i actually find all the characters quite likable and i'm pleased with how anna isn't a damsel in distress and neither is elsa. i'm also a huge sucker for sibling relationships, so.
