No, but in all seriousness. Atlus probably did the same thing nintendo did, where they issued the c&d based on the fact that the group decided to make it into a commercial production. There will be brawl, the megaman fan film and the sonic fan film are still online and have been largely left alone because those were freely distributed on the internet. So if the p4musical had been just a thing they posted to youtube or hosted elsewhere, atlus.... Might have still given a fuck because persona 4 visualive is a thing, but it might not have caused the uproar it has.

Does the overall c&d make sense? Hell if i know, but i do think it's unfair for the short notice that atlus gave them and unfortunate that the songs had to be taken down. Granted, i only cared for partners but still. I can see why some people would be mad.

And c'mon. It's a fan thing, of course ymmv on how bearable it was going to be.

but they weren't going to be charging money, taking money, or accepting donations, and atlus was well aware of that. :(

i'm really sad i didn't get a download of adachi's song before it came down. that's what i liked.

Then where were they going to hold a live performance? And what's the point of doing a live performance at all then? The internet got them way more publicity.

Honestly them claiming no money would be involved was a bold faced lie. It's probably why Atlus reacted like they did. Even if no money was involved YET it sure as hell would've been eventually. So they played on the overly paranoid side and disbanded the whole thing.

What makes you say for sure that money would have been involved eventually? There are plenty of cosplay groups in America, one in particular that i'm thinking of, who do full performances from Sailor Moon musicals. They do all the costumes, the songs, the stage directions, even some special effects. I've been to one of their shows, it was great, they're pretty awesome. But they don't charge a penny.

Okay i missed that because some of the posts made it sound like they were charging people to watch like an actual production. My bad. In which case, they probably shut them down on the basis of persona visualive which.... Makes no sense because that's a japan only thing anyway. idk folks law is weird

never heard of the zelda movie, but weird how that happened and legend of neil was still allowed to be a thing. that was commercial as fuck.

The zelda movie literally had a trailer then got to air for like.... A day or some other equally short amount of time before nintendo's lawyers descended upon it like a pack of angry cuccoos.

And i've never heard of legend of neil. To google!
