Not only here, but I see plurks about new happenings in the relationship between Venus and Enjolras, where everyone jumps in and gets excited. And I... just don't get it?

Maybe there's some build-up I'm missing, but Enjolras has always been about as romantic as a bag of potatoes to me. Didn't he disapprove of Marius for swooning over Cosette, and isn't he like frequently described as being chaste in the novels?

It's been building up for about a year OOC, and ICly Enjolras isn't even in the ship yet, they're only just realizing that they want to be together. YMMV but the trajectory was that Enjolras started chaste and completely disinterested in romance and that their friendship, over many months, turned into love.

It's popular because it's two active characters, the players are clearly having a lot of fun with it, and one of the characters is a mod character with a ton of CR.

as far as i know, there's been months and months of build up and neither of the characters has actually done anything physical? i could be mistaken, but i thought it was more ship teasing than anything else.

and he is as romantic as a sack of potatoes, which has been pointed out in a few places (venus's post back in january or december comes to mind, along with some of the logs with marius).
