that's typically something they mention when they tell you about it, tbh. paid training. if they didn't mention that when talking about the training, you should find a way to ask them.

Actually, they mentioned that the training costs would actually be taken out of my first paycheck now that I think about it, so... I'm not sure if that means I'd be paid during it or not.

It just seems like a huge waste to stay for the training and then quit right after, even if I do get paid.

op, if you're in the US, most legitimate jobs will pay you during training

hate to say it, but it sounds like they're going to charge you for training, which sounds really scammy
