Unfunny wanky stereotypes

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

So one of my favorite ships/CR (I ship it but I'd be happy just bouncing them off each other) is with characters who share a body.

Even if I were to ask around and find somebody who plays one or the other (I play both), I still can't think of a way to feasibly play them together in a game. How would you work out a way to play them in the same body in a game? On the other hand, how would you feasibly get them into different bodies? Besides "it's a jamjar just roll with it".

Before you say 'just write fic', I do write fic. I'd just also like to RP it sometime.

people play characters in separate bodies because jamjar magic all the time, i've seen plenty of calliopes/caliborns and narrators/tyler durdens and shit like that

Hmmmm. I shall renew my hope for getting to play this somewhere.

Though actually I've never seen a Calliope or a Caliborn in a game, which is weird because. Homestuck casts.

i'm waiting on the last update to play callie anywhere except memes, tbh

idk about other players but that's all that's stopping me

i've seen several, actually. and there are a few out there right now according to the cast tracker?

+1

i've played three characters who in canon share a body with other characters, and we just had them be separated in the game. it's fun, and not something you should overthink imo.

I know I've seen several games who clarify that characters with shared bodies will be split upon arrival to the game. I don't think I've ever seen one where you could share it.

I'm so curious about who you play, anon.

I have played a different character who was technically two characters in the same body before, briefly in Holly Heights and also in DDD. That's sort of a different case though for tl;dr reasons. Split personalities also occasionally crop up, like I saw one in Facility?

This totally outs me, but oh well. Diavolo and Vinegar Doppio from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

you can do it in asgard. one of our OCs does it.

oh wait sorry, they play both characters in one body, l2reading comprehension i guess self

(Anonymous) 2014-02-26 10:31 am (UTC)(link)
do you play from yu-gi-oh

but yeah, seriously, echoing what above anons have said; most games should let you play them as magically having separate bodies
