Unfunny wanky stereotypes

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

so did i, and my brother. it's not the end of the world. ): if you can fix what went wrong, you can go back eventually and get on with your life, y'know?

i hope. :( i only have six more courses before i graduate. i had straight As and Bs at one point, but decided against an academic break because i wanted to finish school and get a job as soon as possible. it all went downhill from there.

i'm kind of fretting and not. on one hand, it's my fault for not getting my ass focused, and on the other hand the instructors usually aren't teachers but someone who works in the industry, so they're pretty much just passing the material along versus teaching. i wish i would've known what kind of school it was and opted for something cheaper with credits that transfer.

I've been having perpetual school failure/lateness/lost on the way to next class nightmares that are depriving me of sleep and pretty sure I'm 'looking forward to another one when I go to bed in like ten minutes.'

I did well for most of it irl (at least, the part I keep having nightmares about,) got through the last two year on a special allowance situation due to anxiety based breakdowns which got severe enough that I couldn't attend all my classes.

Dropped out of university though because my anxiety just got worse and worse.

you'll be okay, anon. if you get put on academic probation it's not the end of your college career. get a job for a while, travel, pay down some student loans if you can. then go back and finish up what you have left.

So did I. Not just failed - complete and utter nervous breakdown. I spent a year and a half being a useless, suicidal lump.

I've since worked on the issues that led to me failing, re-examined the program I'd been enrolled in and the future prospects it would give me, and gone back to school in a different program. I'm actually one semester away from graduation now.

Failing out isn't a death sentence. Sort out why you failed. Do something else for a little while. If you still want to get degree, go back when you're back on solid ground.

I'm sorry, anon. I'm starting to fail grad school and I know what I need to do but depression is making it a bitch and a half. :(

I've been sick and I completely lost my voice. Not only can I not perform at my job (retail sales) but I have an interview on Monday and I'm really worried I still won't be able to speak by then. :(

I'm friends with multiple people who failed out and dropped out of college, and they're all still doing well for themselves. In fact, my mentor at work never finished college, and he's been rocketing through his career like a champion. A degree is not the be-all and end-all of having a career.
