The tumblr userbase is unbearable and everyone who plays Kano around here thinks they're smarter than they are, which... is never good for major character in a fandom.

Once we get the anime it's probably going to be time to abandon ship.

What would you suggest to a Kano RPer? I have a Kano for museboxing but I'm waiting on seeing how the fifth novel and the anime ends before potentially apping him.

Don't go overboard with angst, don't try to force him to be funny and teasing and flirty when the situation doesn't call for it, don't treat him like the BEST GENIUS EVER who understands everyone and can trick everyone ever about everything and don't force ships with him at the cost of characterization (at least in a game, who cares about that in memes). Pretty basic advice, and I'd offer more in depth shit if you wanted it, but this is what I've seen people struggle with.

Ahhh, they're obvious points but it's nice to see them in words! Looking at them, I just need to balance his angst more (I was worried mine's a bit weak?), but I know better than making him a genius or successful trickster. Half of the fun is getting his bullshit called out by others!

As for ships, I usually default to platonic CR since Kano doesn't seem like he's interested in anything beyond casual flirting and dates because of his issues.
