The only substantial points in that thread were in that long crit that was posted to the Robb player on the HMD. The rest of it just looks like a whole lot of butthurt and trolling over characters/players that are popular in the game and people playing out kinks in a kinky sex game using the stuff that was put into the game to make it easy to play out kinks.

There are some OOC or just plain bad characters in the game but not significantly more than other sex games I've been in; a good number of the problem players in this game were or still are problem players in other sex games. The solution to that is to crit them on the game-wide HMD or their personal HMDs and either avoid them or take your concerns to the mods if they don't improve. Kudos to the anon who actually did take their concerns directly to the player they had a problem with.

I'm having tons of fun in this game writing porn with great players who do keep their characters IC while taking into account the effect the environment has on their characters. Most of the issues I've run into in the game have more to do with people who are IC but flaky or insular than OOC or bad characters.

this is true for the good players too which is why that wg thread is so silly

i've played in sex games for years and there is a VERY significant population overlap for sex games

longtime sex game players often cycle through all the sex games that open following their friends or to hop on the new shiny game bandwagon

a pretty large bunch of the people i played with in games like amat and zodion ages ago are in ariel now although some of them are using socks or playing different characters than they did in those games

i don't see how ariel is significantly worse than zodion, amat, lang etc when many of the exact same people are or were in zodion, amat, lang etc at one time or another and were considered good players in those games

Someone got crit, butthurt ensued. It's the same thing that always happens. Why is it suddenly the end of the world now? Why do some of these people care that much? All the righteous indignation over something that would've blown over if there hadn't been so much frothing at the mouth is getting ridiculous.

And no, you can't trust everyone on your timeline not to be a backstabbing ass. Again, why is this coming as a surprise now when that's always been the case in pretty much every game ever?

So based off hearing that smut actually happens in this game I'm considering joining it, but while I'm willing to write other things I prefer to write f/f. In my experience with dwrp sex games f/f smut is dropped twice as fast as anything else, so I wanted to know how well/frequently/if there was even people willing to thread it till end here.

debating on apping with a sock/dummy name (is this even a good term) for a few reasons (i am 18+ however!! so no worries there), but of course, I will make myself accessible more than anything/be open to all sorts of cr and be open and accepting to everyone. i don't have a history of wank or anything, i just want a fresh start. would mods/players be ok with this??

Out of curiosity: how is the game regarding drastically older characters that actually look their age (for example is seventy, looks seventy; instead of is ninety, looks twenties-thirties)
