If you have a problem with the mods, you could just go talk to them on plurk or hit up a mod post. Praising the mods is no different from posting someone's name in a FAVORITES thread. That's what this place is for. People can come here and complain. Or people can come here and praise. You're complaining about people trying to be positive. and if you do have complaints, why haven't you dropped them on one of the mod HMD threads so the mods can work on them?

if there's something that you think needs improving, give them actual feedback about it. vague complaints on anon comms are not the same thing.

yep. i don't think they're perfect princess who fart rainbows, they could totally suck in place i haven't seen, but most issues i've seen have been pretty run of the mill stuff.
