Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Re: Aurora - Once Upon A Time

Just general stuff that comes to mind that you may be aware of, but: Aurora isn't just generic sparkly princess. She's fierce and determined and so damn protective. She isn't "weak" and she doesn't take opportunities or the day-to-day life for granted. She knows full well about sacrifice (and this is a big thing between her and Mulan, in particular) but isn't blindly hero-type self-sacrificing as other people in the show (i.e. people like Charming or Henry or even Phillip)

She's trusting and kind and fiercely loyal and protective to those who've proven themselves to her. And she's not afraid to lash out when provoked or angry, either physically or verbally.

And I think a key thing to note would be her loneliness. She was asleep for 28 years and she is one hundred percent done being docile, passive princess. But she lost Phillip as soon as she got him back, and now she's in a world that's different from how she left it. And depending on the canon point you take her from, she and Mulan may not yet be very close so she can feel very isolated and separate from the others, even if she doesn't really let on that that's the case (see also: her sacrificing nature; it's not important or relevant to the bigger picture, so why divulge it, etc). But she also secretly hoped she could be taken to Storybrooke to start a new life, rather than be left behind alone.

Sorry I can't give more detail than that, but hopefully that's a nice jumping-off point for you, anon!
