rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I figured that would be the biggest hurdle. I've always liked this map: http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/attachments/f313/62462-pok%C3%A9mon-world-maps-pokemap.png but I think in the context of a game where people are expected to have lots of face to face interaction it would make it difficult to connect the regions.

There's also the option of arranging them according to the sections of Japan they're inspired by, like so: http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/a/ad/Regions.png It would be a pretty easy solution and makes it easier to reasonably connect all the regions. If you assume the're roughly analogous in terms of size and distance it only takes a few days of driving to get from Kyushu/Hoenn to Hokkaido/Sinnoh, and half that time if you use the train system.

The biggest issue would be deciding where the hell to put Unova and Kalos, not to mention the things like the Sevii islands or anime-specific locations.
