Gosh, this game looks so interesting but the app process seems incredibly intimidating! How does it work in-game when someone brings in a character thats been played before? I mean I read what the FAQ stuff says but I'm still pretty iffy.

It basically functions like they're a different person, just with the same preincarnation memories. Therefore, there's no "LOL HEY I RECOGNIZE YOU YOU TOTES USED TO GO HERE" from people.

I think it is seen as 'a new re-incarnation' of the previous character, which allows you to have whatever AU you like (doesnt have to be the same!) and whatever re-incarnation you like.

For 'but they look the same!' issues I think (think!) that would probably be your discretion? You could probably request people to either not mention that they look the same or just make it an IC joke of how you remind them of this other character!

I have found STE to be very laid back, so if you had more specific questions I am sure either a mod or another player would help you directly

We are currently on our second Mikasa (Shingeki) so if you want to hear more about how it works out, maybe ask her mun?

Armin (also Shingeki) is at least on reincarnation number two as well, and I'm sure there are more.
