Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

if someone sleeps in until 11 at a household with dogs (they're a guest), would you feel sympathy for them being woken up by barking?

she yells SHUT UP at them and i feel like it's inappropriate and rude

maybe it's just how I was raised but I think it's super uncool to yell in a house you're staying in as a guest. poor doggies

(Anonymous) 2014-01-03 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
nope

as far as I'm concerned, 9-10am would be the time my guests should reasonably expect to start hearing noises from people waking up and going about their day. if they want to sleep past then undisturbed, they can invest in some cheap earplugs

also going with above anon, it's not classy to yell when you're a guest in a house. yelling at animals is not only inappropriate but pointless because animals won't understand and yelling is just as likely to key them up even more

rude ho

When it's your house and your dogs it's one thing to yell at them to shut up, but when it's someone else's house? No. That's rude as fuck. In general unless the owner gives permission to discipline an animal I don't think guests should be telling a dog what to do in the dog's home anyway (with exceptions for things like jumping).

(Anonymous) 2014-01-03 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
also its unlikely the dog would interpret something like that as discipline anyway if it comes from a guest because they dont know whotf that person is

just hostility

ayrt

Yes, exactly. And depending on the dog and how they deal with perceived hostility that could lead to some really unfortunate altercations.

(Anonymous) 2014-01-03 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
no sympathy at all, especially if they were yelling at my dogs

asshole deserves it

(Anonymous) 2014-01-03 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
your dogs should be eaten

(Anonymous) 2014-01-03 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Inappropriate and rude as fuck. If you have dogs then barking sometimes happens and if they were my dogs then it's my "pack" to deal with, as it were, not the guest's to yell at randomly.

Also, 11am? Your ass should be up and I say that as someone who is not an early riser.

As a person who often sleeps past noon when she doesn't have work or class? I consider that rude. It's one thing if people are having a loud conversation outside of your room when they know you're asleep (and even then, I'd be extremely hesitant to ask them to move the conversation if I were a guest), but dogs and dogs, and you can't expect other people (much less animals) to accommodate your weird sleep schedule if you're a guest.

And it's also rude as fuck to shout in someone else's house.

so fucking rude. the dogs live in the house and it's their home too - they're practically the kids, so it is very inappropriate. let those doggies bust through her door and wake the ho up
