What if

the mod posted the memes? And people could submit meme ideas or even HTML and everything to make it easier? An impartial meme-arbiter could look at the last times memes were posted and try to gauge whichever one would be the most successful to put up next when the previous one runs out of steam-

What's that? TLH's mod is completely useless and does nothing but come by at the beginning of the month to half-ass the Recent Memes listing? Well, shit.

afaik part of why mods stopped posting memes was because nobody submitted ideas

i cant blame them because from personal experience it takes around 3-5 hours to make a decent meme from scratch

do we know for sure that the "new mod" isn't nemo? that player came from nowhere, never really tagged much, never did much of anything after becoming a mod. starting to feel like it's just a cardboard cutout...

They (possibly?) deleted that new meme people were bitching about and removed the recent memes listing entirely.

someone should just set up a new comm (lovehotels isn't taken) and have it look differently, perhaps more true to actual love hotels, and maybe more on an incentive basis. aus encouraged so sex doesn't have to depend on aphros, idk. a change so it isn't just a carbon copy, or maybe a whole new idea entirely. an entire dr set in a red light district might be fun.

I could get behind a sort of small town/small city setting. with maybe some buildings creating drastically different settings.

yeah, that would sound pretty good! i don't think making it a jamjar would do it much good, though. it could be like any other place in the world, where you can come and go, but it's connected to a whole bunch of worlds magically or whatever. like traverse town in the kh universe. it's a haven you can go to, but it has this atmosphere that draws you in, some characters staying because they like it so much?

I wouldn't mind having a smut comm that was a bit less...sinister than the Hotel is.

I honestly kind of like the sinister aspects due to offering a bit of freedom kink wise but I don't think anyone is really using them enough that they'd be sorely missed.

I don't mind them as such but I'd like to have alternatives.

nemo was offering people money in exchange for having the comm taken off her hands on plurk, so i doubt she'd stick around as a mod.
