anon you understand me. the perils of playing mecha pilots.

playing them without a mecha is like playing them naked :(

i game-shopped for almost a year and had zero luck. most places just won't allow them at all, and for the ones that did, they required major nerfing for just about everything that makes them, well, mecha. even in spacey-themed games or ones with power-allowance. which i got (because they're logistics nightmares) but it's still a bummer.

ftr i did settle in one but it's not everyone's cup of tea.

i wouldn't mind a power nerf! that is, if it doesn't reduce them to a listless hunk of metal. i'd at least want it to move

i may as well log in! hi anon, i play in

savetheearth -- it's memloss masquerading as au, and characters are allowed to slowly regain their memories, powers, and items throughout the course of the game. so i guess technically you start nerfed and then get your character to full power. i've been slow with the process myself, but we are allowed to eventually regain mecha in all their glory.

i know memloss is a deal-breaker, and au even more so, but i think i pitched it once as getting to play all those cute modern day au scenarios without actually sacrificing what makes your canon cool.

HELLO. i always did want to app to ste before, i just didn't know with who! i'm glad to know gundam characters work well over there, that puts me at ease. though i dont have a fellow gundam to app, i'll actually really consider this. my character is kind of similar to a newtype so basically apping somewhere without his mecha would make it really hard to adapt.

oh man yeah, i was definitely in your situation for the longest time! i never wanted to settle for a super scaled down or nerfed mech, because it just took all the fun out of why i like and play from those canons in the first place. ste has been pretty easy on me so far because he started out not knowing any better, so it wasn't as though i was playing him missing anything at first.
