I busted my ass trying to stick up for that asshole while still remaining diplomatic but he never frigging had my back when I needed him to, other than that ONE time with fuckface from the beginning.

You must've done a shitty job 'cause I went against him multiple times (tried to save Larry, saved Ben, etc.) and he and I were hunky dory all the way to the end.

The only way to do that once you save Larry is to side with him 100% on every other decision. I stayed neutral in his arguments with Lily.

Unless you kiss his ass all the time and kill someone who could be recovering, he acts like an asshole to you. Even if I helped his family COUNTLESS times.

All of that didn't bother me, though. What REALLY bothered me was when he refused to go save Clementine, which has NOTHING to do with anything going on between Kenny and Lee, because Lee didn't kiss his ass. He can't even use his family as an excuse anymore.

In the end I hadn't gotten so much on his bad side that I couldn't convince him to come with me but it was that moment that I decided I hated the character. Still do. Anyone who sided with Kenny the whole time thinks he's such a bro but only those who didn't go with him on every decision get to see his true colors.

In the words of Kenny: "Yeah, well what has she done for me lately?" That pretty much sums him up.

I get why people like him and sympathize with him, I really do, but I just can't.

I am certain that you said at least two things that are categorically wrong in there. You're getting bad info from somewhere.

Info from where? All I know is that I tried to save Larry and saved Ben and stayed neutral in Kenny's fight with Lily and helped his family and him out in every other way and he disliked my Lee enough to refuse to help Clementine at first.

From what I hear there's a way to get him to be your buddy even if you try to save Larry and Ben, which I didn't think was possible. I've heard it depends on if you sided with him in every other decision but I've never played through that way.

when I went to get clem, kenny came with me no questions asked even though I did save ben. I did side with him against larry and kept it neutral between him and lilly. you might also have considered whether or not you talked him down or fought him during the duck incident.

I don't think I kissed kenny's ass, but my lee was always fair to him and slapped down his temper without calling him an idiot.

actually if you save ben and try to keep the peace on your side, ben will tell kenny off and kenny will forgive him.

if you pick the option "clementine is my family" when trying to get him to come help lee get clem back, then he'll always (I think) come with you. otherwise he refuses, no matter how much you've been on his side.

which, yeah. makes him a bit of a dick when you were always on his side and are begging him to help you now.
