anon thinking of maybe apping here at some point -- what's the game like? i didn't realize it was digimon until i actually gave it more than a glance (i thought it was more, like, SMT or Desu since that seems to be a big theme over in Atlusland) but i want to hear from the players about it

Generally speaking, Terminal's a pretty chill game. The game offers a steady supply of events, both plot-related and lighthearted fun, and in my experience, it's not too hard to get tags here. The network gets some decent traffic, but I also see people openly threading in-person logs as well.

The biggest complaint people have is the modding. Sometimes they're a bit slow in updating information. Personally, I don't have too many complaints with them otherwise. There are also some players that are kind of hit or miss and a few flakes, but as someone who's been in the game for months, I've never had too much trouble finding fun CR opportunities.

They're gearing up for the next phase of the game's plot, so January, so this'll probably be a good time to jump on board, since the game's moving to a new setting. Oldbies and newbies alike will have to adjust.

Can we please get to April already? I'd love to app in a character with powers and it'd be fun to use them.

Any apps/reserves people are excited about?

(Anonymous) 2013-12-31 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)

(Anonymous) 2013-12-31 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
which ones are you dreading? the test drive is...a mixed bag?

da

(Anonymous) 2014-01-01 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
any standouts in the testdrive? the applejack seemed pretty solid in d_m

(Anonymous) 2014-01-01 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
I don't see anything stand-out awful myself. besides michaelangelo but not much can be done there

This is my lazy tags/low quality game. How bad are some of the people on the test drive that you are actually admitting that they're bad?

Anything to do in game except SoL?

We do have combat, quests and missions, even a little mystery at times.

Now depending on your idea of what is slice of life, we also have romance, deep introspection and emotional trauma and development.

And to top it all off we have some fun with your standard reality warping events, Go-kart races, a Noir themed week and so on.

Something people have trouble with at times is that Terminal is very open minded in what they allow you to do on your own. While there are opportunities for things there is also alot of room in the sandbox for you to devise up your own adventures out in the wilderness if you feel so inclined. And the moderators are happy to help provide NPCs for those sorts of things.
