I'm playing a bottom and I'm always worried about making my character a pillowqueen. I've read discussions but I always end up even more confused, so could you recommend me some good bottoms to read so I can get a glimpse of what I should/shouldn't do?

Better than reading other people's threads and trying to mimic them, poke around for some submissive blogs. It might be a bit too far into "bottom" for you, but read those and get a good feel for their motivations. They often have insights into the sorts of things they like to do for their Dom, and you can use that to help guide your motivations in playing a bottom and things to do for your top so that you're not just laying there taking whatever they do. I'm on my phone right now so I can't link you to any, but I'll try to come back later.

remember that you're writing with somebody else, so the thread isn't all about you. read over your tag before you hit post and see if you gave the other person things to respond to. if it's just your character moaning and writhing, don't hit post. your character's moaning is only interesting to you.

think about what your character's body is doing. are they enjoying what is happening or are they fighting back? are they restrained, either verbally or physically, or can they touch the other person? don't be afraid to be detailed in your descriptions.

are they gagged, or can they talk? if they talk, have them say something more than "oh yes harder". again, that's only interesting to your character. it's okay to have characters having a conversation while they're fucking.

what emotions are they feeling? are they scared? nervous? eager? desperate? how are these emotions expressed physically?

Not aimed at you so much as in general but bottom does not always = sub.

My best advice is that if you're not good at writing introspection, or hate writing it, then you probably shouldn't be playing a bottom. I don't know if that applies to you, anon, but if it does then you might want to try practicing more with tl;dring.

I play a forever bottom. I spruce up my tags by adding lots of personal reflection (the character has very complicated/contradictory attitudes about sex) and/or by having them say or do things that are sexy but aren't in the realm of taking control. Just because someone's a bottom doesn't mean they're laying there doing nothing. There's dirty talk, shifting around to give their partner better access or a better position, asking them to do things, kissing/cuddling, or if it's a more dubcon thread, there's pushing away/arguing/glaring etc.

You'd be amazed at how many "top" muses will get a huge amount of enjoyment out of your character just expressing how much they're enjoying themselves. and not in a [as he worked his cock, he tipped his head back against the pillow and moaned and this is the entire tag] but actually smiling at them and being like "I want you to do X because you're so sexy."

This is also where having a lot of personal sexual experiences can help because for me I just pull from my own brain what I think is sexy stuff from my partner when I'm "topping." (although I'm not trying to shame anyone by saying this who may not be an old lady slut like me who's had a lot of sex.)
