The history of Tosa Province/Kōchi Prefecture in Japan.

Seconding the anon above me on New Mutants.

Excalibur. Captain Britain's team from the late 80s. Standard superhero stuff for the first few issues until they start dimension-hopping in a magic train and then it hits its stride and it's way better than that makes it sound I swear.

Captain Britain and MI-13. British intelligence's paranormal division from Excalibur gets its own tragically short series. (I think it was supposed to be an ongoing but got axed for some reason or another.) It's the first appearance of the criminally underused Faiza Hussain. Also there is Dracula.

Inhumans v2. The Paul Jenkins/Jae Lee one. It's a 12-issue limited on the Marvel Knights imprint that just got reissued in hardcover. Great story about intrigue and the secretive nature of Inhuman society, and the best Black Bolt and Maximus have ever been written.

Guardians of the Galaxy v2. They just went high profile because of the coming movie, but they were B-list at best when the series was being written. It's part of a great string of Cosmic stories from a few years back, including the crossovers Annihilation, Annihilation Conquest, and Thanos Imperative, Nova v4, and about a zillion tie-ins and limiteds, some of which are better than others, Annihilation: Nova and Annihilation Conquest: Starlord in particular.

That last one was like five recs for the price of one so I think I'm done now.

I'm so sorry, I hadn't poked my head into this section recently! Eight is actually a rather nice Doctor to play, and he'll be a very different Doctor to play depending on just how much before the Divergent arc you take him from. If you take him from, say, the end of Zagreus/beginning of Scherzo, you'll have a lot angrier Eight on your hands than before that, when he's still mostly the happy puppy.

He's really great to play because you can get a huuuge amount of depth out of him, without having to worry about being quite so hyperactive as, say, Ten or Eleven. They're both great Doctors, but they can wear one out after playing them for a while. Eight is a bit more shy than that. Not completely bashful, but soft-spoken, not quite as interested in getting in everyone's grill like Ten and Eleven are. He's also quite a bit more aware than those two about what's rude and what isn't. He may forget now and then, but it's just a general rule of thumb that Eight has a lot more decorum and won't be grabbing things to put in his mouth, for example. He's a gentleman, after all. And yet...he still has that wonder about him. (At least up until the Daleks pretty much ruin his life in the most horrible way, and then he becomes a man with less wonder and more a desperate need to find hope...but you don't have to worry about that, if you stick to the canon points you're thinking of. That comes much later.)

I can't quite give you any advice based on my RP, because I play him really far into his life, after "To the Death". He's a lot more broken than he is earlier in his life. A lot.

If there's anything from what I said you want to ask about, go for it! :) I can babble on about Eight for ages.

As for serials to watch from 1-7, these would be my suggestions:

1 - An Unearthly Child (or at least, just the first episode, as the rest of the serial is kind of dull), The Aztecs, The Romans, The Dalek Invasion of Earth, The Time Meddler (which is kind of essential if you want more info on the story arc in Series 4 of the later Eight audios)

2 - Tomb of the Cybermen, The Ice Warriors, The Enemy of the World, The War Games

3 - Spearhead from Space, The Daemons, The Green Death, The Time Warrior, Planet of the Spiders

4 - The Ark in Space, Genesis of the Daleks, Pyramids of Mars, The Brain of Morbius (definitely essential since Morbius comes back as a baddie in Eight's time...and you'll get to learn about the Sisterhood of Karn), City of Death, Logopolis

5 - Kinda, Earthshock, Mawdryn Undead, Terminus, Enlightenment, The Five Doctors, Planet of Fire, Caves of Androzani

6 - Attack of the Cybermen, Mark of the Rani, and then just get all of Trial of a Time Lord series. (Let's just say Colin Baker got screwed royally. You might be better off just listening to his audios.)

7 - Paradise Towers (well, I like it, damn it!), Remembrance of the Daleks, Battlefield, Ghost Light, The Curse of Fenric

Piping in to say I personally think The Daleks is a very good serial for One too. A lot of the reason is because it's the first one the Daleks appear in, but I think it's a good story overall too. And the first appearance of the Cybermen is The Tenth Planet if you'd like to have a look at that too. And it's One's regeneration serial. c:

You're likely talking forums, where the people who play are probably in the same time zone. If you're on the other side of the globe, you're awake when most people sleep. Therefore, you miss out on those AIM and Skype convos. And therefore, you get left out.

No they weren't. The problems were just much less visible. Just because you can't see the problems doesn't mean there weren't any. There was still laziness (linking in chatrooms or IMs was the norm), cliques dominated them, oversharing happened just as much there.

Plurk at least isn't dominated by the cliques. If you weren't in the cliques dominating the chat, good luck getting a word in edgewise.

And, oh, boo hoo. Other people might see you plotting!!! Private plurks are a thing. Sounds like the only thing that changed is you lost your goddamn backbone. You sound lazy as hell, too, and like someone who was In with the cliques in your games.

Also? Those personal crises and feels and shit still existed in AIM chats. And you couldn't just mute them then.

I'm proud that I no longer find it difficult to get out of bed and brush my teeth. It sounds silly but there were times earlier this year where I wouldn't for days. But I can't imagine going back to that now!

I'm guessing the reason ayrt said the game sold well might have to do with the game managing to reach the 3DS top ten of the Nintendo Club: Fan Faves of 2013 along with Monster Hunter 3, which is pretty impressive for an e-Shop only game.

It doesn't guarantee that the game sold "well" enough to satisfy Capcom, but I can definitely see why people are still clinging onto hope of seeing another Ace Attorney game localized.
