This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Related to the above thread: how do you feel about echo-ing in personality traits? As a lurker it seems really strange to me at first and I'm wondering if there's certain ways of handling it.

jesus, as an artist, that's bullshit. find a way to call them out publicly, be it posting their un around tumblr + what they've done, or whatever it takes. then post it here so i can reblog it, damn. TITTYBABY ARTISTS GOT TO LEARN TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND RELIABLE.

and to OP, it's completely legitimate to ask them to send you what they've done so far and refund you the rest of the money. ie if they have a sketch, refund you so that you've only paid for a sketch commission, etc. artists that are terrible at being professional are the bane of my existence.

Anons, have you ever gotten a castmate who was okay, but not fantastic? Do you have suggestions to help them improve? (Whether OOC or through IC tactics.)

More context: the player seems like a sweetheart, but we don't really know each other. We have threaded a little bit in memes, but I'm worried that giving crit right away will come off as not wanting her in the game. Our characters should hopefully interact a lot!

you already seem to be sensitive to being polite about it, and, frankly, nice enough to want to give her crit rather than bitch behind her back, so i'd say you're already on the right track. all it will take is being polite and upfront.

although, to improve how it's taken, be sure to also point out what you DO like about her playing. try to find examples of ways she's done things that you really thought were good, or IC, or gave you a lot to work with as a tag, and frame it in a "i'd love to see more of this" way.
