there's a hell of a lot of presumption and projection going on on both sides of this incredibly stupid debate and i think you all should just have a drink and find something to do

i have a gay male friend that does that shit. every single time someone comments on a female body being attractive or talks about girls, he has to launch into a damn tirade about how "horrifying" vaginas/boobs are and how the only things he likes have a y chromosome and blah blah blah

i recently had to call him on it because i couldn't fucking take it anymore. luckily, he's toned it down considerably since then. who knows how long it will be until he starts up again though. i don't get why so many gay guys have to act like this. why do they have to degrade women just because they aren't attracted to them?

I mostly get money for Christmas, so I didn't get a lot of material stuff.

- And my mother took me out for Mexican and margaritas for lunch

I baked for everyone, because I have no money and everyone's always begging me to bake anyway.

i don't miss my folks, but i miss some of my extended family and i'm a little bummed i don't have them anymore. like i said, i get that people can genuinely hate their family and some parents/siblings/relations can be creepy/toxic/abusive, i really, really get that.

but i'm more or less addressing the people that have decent families and who actually like them but are somehow buttchafed that today of all days they're expected to be with them. or who are furious or so so mad that they didn't get exactly what they wanted exactly the way they wanted. i'm referring to the spoiled people, anon. not the ones who have step parents who are fucking tools or whose uncle did something bad or whose siblings are abusive or just out and out mentally unbalanced.

we've seen those rants on here for the really outrageous family members and i don't expect people to want to spend a decent day with them. but for those people who have sisters that 'borrow their favorite toe socks' or whose mom 'made her have dinner instead of letting her marathon her favorite series for three days' who come on and piss and moan about how much their lives suck and ugh, they don't pay rent and they live at home and don't have to pay for bills but mom expects me to put fifty bucks in because her hours got cut and they're short on food, don't you know i need that fifty bucks for anime/cosplay/dvds/makeup?

those people. i'm pointing a big judgmental finger at those people.

i actually avoid family things solely because i grew up with toxic people and can't function around normal happy families.

i have no family either, so don't act like you're the only one who has the right to complain.

don't see what that has to do with it. i'm not saying straight guys don't degrade women, i'm wondering why specifically some gay guys have to freak the hell out over women's bodies, call them disgusting and horrifying and generally act like massive bigoted jerks just because they're not attracted to someone.

the ads are usually for aim or skype psls, so it isn't ljrp. i've met normal writers on there too, but it can be good for laughs too

You don't need to go that far to prove your love of cock, and we get enough shit from society telling us that our vaginas are disgusting. We don't need it from them, too.

Insecurity. It's the same reason why some straight guys act exaggeratedly disgusted whenever homosexuality is brought up--it's posturing designed to cover up a weak ego and make themselves feel big. Not surprising when you consider that a lot of gay folks grow up with self-esteem issues for obvious reasons.

Unless your family is kidnapping you or forcing you at gunpoint to attend a family gathering, you always have a choice. Most people don't think they do because they do not wish to accept the consequences of making the choice to not attend, which usually involves things like not getting gifts, causing arguments, cutting yourself off from family, upsetting family, etc.

how do you guys think that a villain of the batshit variety would fare here? i'm thinking of apping one in but am a little uncertain still since he would not only be gradually going insane but definitely (and obviously, which is the real problem) end up working against the numbered folks.

I've done so many times now with the simple words of "Sorry, but I have to work that day." It's actually true because the industry I work in does force me to work holidays and you can't even call in sick without a doctor's note on holidays. Family understands that I need to be able to pay my bills and keep a roof over my head.
