Do some research, preferably in actual dead-tree books - either biographies, or reference books on business and finance. Large parts of the internet know diddly-fuck about business but still like to shout about it, so a lot of online resources will be incorrect. (Not that everything put down on paper is necessarily right, but there's a bit more fact-checking involved in most reputable publications than there is on Wikipedia.)

goofy's son got told by pete that santa's not real and he's so depressed and skeptical and he gets mad at his dad for pretending to be santa

my cousin's too young to understand and he's even laughing at silly parts but i just feel depressed seeing it out of the corner of my eye

I actually had a game based on Eternal Darkness in the planning stages, a while ago.

Most of the plot was in the outside world, though - characters could make a home base in Ehn'gha, and dig up weird arcane shit there, but aside from being an entry point into the game setting, it wasn't hugely plot-significant any more. The only active Ancients were Mantorok (okay, sort-of-an-ancient) and the speculated fifth power, since the premise I was using was that killing off the power trio fucked things up royally.
