Oh, I see! The class change thing isn't that big a deal -- a lot of the classes gain certificates that help other classes, so while it's more flexible if you're aiming for endgame usually you pick a category of classes to level and gear and then sometimes level others on the side for grinding and whatnot (I think Engineer, Cleric and Knight are now the favorites since they nerfed Bard).

I understand the grinding problem! I'm not a huge fan of endless grinding either, even if it definitely helps to have someone to hang out with or exchange dungeon runs with while you're doing it. TBH the reason I stayed with EE for so long was because it was a much more social game than the other MMOs I'd played. I'm not much of a solo player either. :D;

I've tried Perfect World, SMT, RO2 and GW2 also and I didn't stick with a lot of them because they just didn't feel as community and party-oriented as EE. So I understand your pain, actually. I'm playing GW2 now, but I'm still looking for another, different-styled MMO to hang out in.

Also I would totally play with you. o/

so the point of the game wasn't to level all the classes all the time?? because that's largely what i remember doing back when i played ee.

i can grind forever if i have someone to chat with, so it's literally just the solo aspect that kills things for me.

gw2 does have the whole group with random people to do things thing going for it, but getting an actual party seems a little more rare. i know what you mean, only i've taken to just playing league of legends for the time being instead. completely different mmo-niche, but fun in its own way

i would totally play with you too \o so maybe this was meant to be though tbh you remind me of someone i talked to recently, because she mentioned gw2 too when we were texting on skype (i think?). makes a gal wonder....unless you turn out to be her. then it'd just be an amusing coincidence.

Nah, you still specialize because by endgame the grind is so ridiculous that only the craziest people level and gear more than 1 or 2 classes/categories for the endgame content. And they keep adding new classes all the time, too...

I've been sort of playing GW2 on and off, I still haven't really gotten into the game much, I've mostly been running around maps a lot but I want to do dungeons and stuff. Not sure how to go about it, though. |D;; I might try joining a guild and see how that goes. Mostly the world's so big and stuff it's hard to find a direction to go in. I spend a lot of my time getting distracted by gathering and crating.

League of Legends seems to be pretty popular! I might try it sometime.

Heheh well I am one of the anons above who was exchanging contact info, so who knows. o/ Since you have GW2 we could totally party up sometime?

i had this thing about unlocking all the outfits, you know how it is. i might have a cute thing problem.

unless they've done some major work to them some of the instances are completely and utterly stupid. as in it's a good thing dying doesn't hurt worse than it does, because even with a decently leveled party with decent gear we'd still die all the time. it was beyond frustrating. hey, crafting is a legit way to level in gw2. at least it used to be, not quite so much since they nerfed it but w/e

i was resistant to the idea at first, but now i actually quite enjoy it. thanks loser date who talked me into it this spring. for the game advice at least i owe you one.

i am tempted to boot it back up again. though the patch time alone makes me want to bang my head against something instead. could at least stay up to date so i can check out the x-mas events when they roll out. though i don't remember ever being too impressed by their holiday content. (aion tho, the changes to sanctum always seemed magical to me don't even know why)

PFFFFF, I know what you mean! Some of those outfits are just too cute. I also had a fashion item Problem. Stupid Wings of Eternal Light... /mumble

Oh, I see! I'm looking forward to seeing how the instances are, tbh! I've been having trouble with some individual story quests, too, the general instance level seems to be set at 'will kick your ass a lot'. XD I enjoy crafting but so much random crap to dump in the Trading Post so I can clean my bag, haha...

Oh man I know what you mean about patch time. I almost tried to poke back into RO2 but it wouldn't patch properly... Anyway, my IGN is Quulique.2017! o/ I enjoy the holiday games, heheh. The Halloween stuff is still around though I enjoyed the Christmas stuff more (mostly 'cause of the pets, but fff).
