Rundown:
rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.
Rules:
Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Re: another AU game idea/revival post
(Anonymous) 2013-11-06 07:38 am (UTC)(link)whether you're apping a canon character or an oc to an au game, you have to write out the character's in-game au history, and that history has to fit the game info. the canon history doesn't matter except as a guideline for writing the au history. and when it comes to verifying the accuracy of the app, there's no difference between an oc and a character from a rare canon with no wiki. either way, you're relying on the consistency/plausibility of the app to determine whether the personality section fits the character and the setting they're supposed to come from. and with an au game, you as the mod know the setting better than anyone, so you can easily judge whether the character fits.
the fun of au games is getting to play a character as a lifelong native of the game world, instead of a confused jamjar arrival. it doesn't matter if the character is a canon character or an oc, since everyone comes from the same universe and has to abide by the same setting rules.
