Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Stars in my eyes at the response so far, you guys are incredible for running with us on this plot!

Less excited for all of the assholes signing up to try to stop it.

We finally get a nice player plot that has a chance to really shake things up and more than a dozen people want to shut it down.

plot arises from conflict, anon

there wouldn't be one if characters were all on board with the mutiny

I'm not making my character OOC just so I don't chafe your ass.

To be fair we need the conflict for this to happen! It's why we have sign ups for both sides and want to encourage everyone to chip in with their two cents. And tbh I'd rather people come to us with concerns about how their character might react so that we can work with them to keep things fun for everyone involved, not just the mutineers.

Besides, we're kind of being dicks about this. Pretty sure showing up to a treaty signing with a gun isn't how you're supposed to do diplomacy.

heaven fucking forbid it be ic for characters to think a mutiny is a bad idea with the situation. it might hurt your precious feels.

Just popping in to echo what Avali's already said above: the pro-initiative minded characters are just as vital to this plot as those who are pro-mutiny, those who are neutral and the mutineers themselves. While the meat of the plot may happen over the course of four days, the social conflict is something that will likely resonate beyond that. Consequences are the name of the game and (if we manage to do our jobs right on an ic level), even if the mutiny fails it should put pressure on the transport community to take more personal accountability etc.

I'm so excited with what everyone's been coming up with for their characters to do during this plot and we really appreciate people being so flexible and eager to work with eachother so we can both keep this running smoothly and get some really awesome cr from it not only for a week in November, but for ~*~weeks to come~*~.

Your complaint makes no sense.

The players running it expect the mutiny to be stopped. If it isn't and the PCs take over entirely from the NPCs, what then? Everything would have to be player plots after that, because the mods would no longer have NPCs to work through, and as much as I think that could be cool, I know it wouldn't work because most dwrp players are overwhelmingly lazy.
