unfortunately, yes, a lot of the ones i see on my plurk timeline and such are the most amazingly judgmental about it. OH NO SOMEONE IN MY DORM DID A JOINT THEY'RE WORSE THAN HITLER type attitudes. we have tremendously shitty drug education full of urban myths and old wive's tales and other propaganda in the usa so kids are taught early on how everything is poison and turns the person into a monster even if they do it once. non-american anons should look up the DARE program.

i really want to come out and show that while i do take it, i'm still capable and get my work done and do well in my classwork and such. i'm still me, still friendly and capable. i wish i could change their minds, but i know the reality is most would drop me like a sack of bricks. i only come out to those i know who do it and people who respond to them with support. besides the pain, it's been helping me with some depression and motivation issues, as well as do the usual things like make my digestive system work awesome. unfortunately they just will not see all this as worth doing it.

it's funny how many sheltered idiots hate people for doing weed, but are more than happy to get stupid-drunk and tell the whole world about it by being as obnoxious as possible

I know someone on my plurk who has raged against people who support medical marijuana, but her own plurk has all these drunk plurks. Like. Why do you think this is so cool? Hypocrite.

I smoke weed erryday and am more successful IRL than 90% of my plurk timeline. So when they take on that attitude about weed they show me they are dumb, judgmental fucks.

I also drink a glass of wine or two every night after work but I don't feel the need to plurk ~how drunk I am~

The difference is alcohol is harmful.

Honestly, all the people I know that do smoke that stuff (I don't myself) are well-adjusted, chill people. Some of them are very productive and successful and considering all they do in a day, I'm not going to hold them needing to take a break.
