My clitoris has been red, swollen and very sharply painful/tender to touch or even brush against for about 6 months. I have a hangup with my genitalia for reasons too personal for secrets thread, but I've never shown my genitals to anyone but one sex partner before and I'm afraid of going to the doctor about it.

Don't be afraid. Doctors have seen everything and are desensitized to this shit. If you go to a gynecologist, they're even less concerned about someone wagging their crotches around--they see dozens of them every day. It'll be clinical and routine, and likely won't be as bad as you're thinking it will be.

Try an OTC yeast infection cure and see if it helps. You might be able to avoid the doctor.

Agreed.

Also, Vagisil has some tests that can help identify if you have a yeast infection or other type of vaginal infection, which is pretty useful before delving into the at home treatments (which can be a bit goopy). I found it to be pretty useful, since it identified my infection pretty accurately.

Thanks for your feedback, anons. I've tried an oral tablet and cream for yeast infections before, but maybe I didn't give it long enough to work. I'll see if I can get the Vagisil tests you mentioned.
