Ana doesn't exactly have a reputation for making great AUs. I think the problem is more with her than the AU itself, if I had to guess.

Her AUs are YMMV, really. Some people like them, some people don't.

Looks more like either post-game plotline AU or "Game would probably humanize them anyway."
