Uhh

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Zany Game

Comedy-driven, where common sense is checked at the door and violence is cartoonish with goofy sound effects.

I discovered it's really hard to play a goofy character or a character with a tendency towards not thinking towards consequences because they get at least ten 'what the fuck is wrong with you?' responses, while realistic can be draining on the player.

this reminds me of a game i always wanted to see: something based on who framed roger rabbit. a film noir/1940's setting, allowing for both OCs and fandom characters. basically the fandom characters live and work exactly like the cartoon characters in the movie work, while having their personal lives in the real world. within each medium's sections of the city, that medium's internal logic applies. so there'd be cartoonish violence in the cartoon neighborhood, video game physics in the game neighborhood, etc.

I think this has been mentioned before, but I like the idea of adding a video game neighborhood. If someone did manage to get injured, drag them to vidland and potion them up.

And have cutscene violence for when the players want the damage in a videogame neighborhood to be permanent.

And certain characters being adamant about dungeon items and escort missions.
