That's my purse, I don't know you

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Years Past Matter (http://archiveofourown.org/works/939155) - ferricent (Raleigh, Yancy, memories in and out of the conn-pod with some Mako toward the end)
The appearance of new island causes a glitch in a satellite system. Within three hours, Gipsy Danger is prepped for long range transport and locked into the air rigs. Raleigh and Yancy practice the specialized drop maneuver in sim. Their jaeger is tethered to altitude balloons for the last twenty miles, and then released high in the air to fall upon the kaiju in a precision strike.

The beast attempts to dive at the last moment, but Gipsy Danger’s first contact pushes its shoulderblade into its lung. The whole mass of it twists in the water but Raleigh and Yancy press plasma into the ocean and boil the liquid near the creature’s eyes.

Designations Congruent with Things (http://archiveofourown.org/works/927457/chapters/1840169) - cleanwhiteroom (Newt, Hermann, directly post-movie. Not quite gen, not quite not-gen. Delightfully heavy on the scientific banter and the joys of cognitive dissonance amplified by the Drift indiscriminately mixing preferences both members of K-science would have liked to have remained distinct, tyvm.)
“Say nothing,” Hermann says, “until you are lying down. Until we are both lying down.”

“Yeah,” Newton says, looking at him with glasses marginally and maddeningly askew. “Brilliance. In the abstract. That’s an annotation. For you. And for your comment. Let’s just do that right now, actually. Say nothing and lie down.”

Hermann manages to drag Newton up by his jacket before the man can make good on his poorly articulated threat to collapse on the floor of the corridor. He pushes him back, steadying Newton against the wall and steadying himself against Newton.

“Aw,” a passing technician calls over her shoulder. “I knew it. Live it up, guys.”

“What?” Hermann hisses, distracted.

“Oh we will,” Newton says, disorganized and emphatic, sloppily pointing two fingers in the woman's general direction. “K-science for life. Life preservation. For humans. And for kaiju. Small ones. Cloned. In captivity. For science.”

The technician's expression morphs, quite appropriately, from approval to disapproval as she vanishes around a corner.
